Chef Challenge for Children

This coming Saturday June 3rd, Revolution Market and Revolution Artisan Pops are teaming up to compete in the 2017 Chef Challenge for Children!

Chef Challenge is part competition, part foodie walk, and part party. It starts with ticket holders going on a tour of Old Town sampling all the competing dishes- each location has a food item as a well as a beverage pairing! Ticket holders get to be food judges for the day, taking notes as they eat and voting on their favorite dishes at the end of the event. While this is a friendly event, there are 3 awards to be won, and we’re in it to win it- but we do have some pretty stiff competition. This year, the competing locations are:

Downtown ArterySavory Spice ShopScrumpy’sSTUFT Burger BarThe Bean CycleThe Cooking Studio, The Cupboard, Fish, Tony’s, Restaurant 415, Prost Brewing, and of course, us!

After the foodies-for-a-day complete their tasting tour, they head over to Fusion Night Club for the Fiesta! The fiesta includes a 5-Star Dessert Bar, a silent and a live auction, games, door prizes, drawings, and a reminder of the “why” behind the event. The event ends with the presentation of the 3 awards, followed by a DJ dance party!

The Chef Challenge for Children is a great event benefiting an even more fantastic cause. Chef Challenge is a fundraiser for The Family Center/La Familia, which offers education, care, and wellness support to local families and children. They offer a wide range of services, from assistance with Medicare/Medicaid, cooking classes, childcare, parenting classes, and sexual assault advocacy programs.
